I did download the Chrome browser I was impressed with it, didn't keep it long I would imagine the Chromium one is all singing all dancing as its open source.

Not really Nob, it is a bit bare arsed for my liking, 'cos I like to tinker a lot and customise my browser.
F'rinstance .... the Linux version of FF is compatible with all of my 'addons' for the windows version.
Different coloured tabs et. My favourite is the bookmarks toolbar autohider.
The bookmarks toolbar only appears when I hover the curser over the menu bar, then disappears when the curser is moved down the screen.

Have you tried Chrome Dave? No Nob ..... I might take a look sometime, but to be honest, I have a healthy suspicion of most things 'Google' Hmmmm.... they want to know toooooo much for my liking, I think Google is really 'HAL' the 'Space Odyssey' computer

So...... I've done a bit of tinkering with this Linux Chromium browser and I may have to take it a bit more seriously.
It is a lot more customisable than I first thought, it's just knowing where to look to do it.
Yup..... I have now found the LastPass bookmarks and password manager for Chromium, and now have all my stuff at the touch of a button. I'm liking this Linux browser very much and may use it regularly.
Bloody quick too!

Keep us informed as you get the hang of it. Some sites may have trouble with it.

I did download the Chrome browser I was impressed with it. I've been using Chrome for quite some time now and its been excellent, very quick but since I updated to the latest version a couple of days ago every time I click on a site the pages goes blank for a few seconds before the actually page loads properly.Once you are on the site other links within that site are fine Seems Others are having the same problem,so I have reverted back to FF.I shall wait and see if the next update sorts it out.

Well, for me, the latest FF update has speeded things up considerably. However....the FF developers don't appear to show the same urgency for improvements for the Linux version. Understandable I suppose, swings and roundabouts tho' 'cos my Linux Ubuntu netbook boots up at twice the speed of my Windows machines.

Still tinkering with Chromium. I think I'll make it my default browser for Linux.
