Below is a piccy that I took today from an upstairs window.The tree is a 'Red Hawthorn'. I planted this tree myself in 1996..it was a last present from my late step- father who died shortly afterwards.I'm extremely fond of this tree because my step- father was one of the finest men I've ever known and I loved him dearly! Most years at this time,the top branches have their leaves and flowers stripped bare by wood pigeons, and squirrels usually strip the bark from the trunk! This year for some strange reason,the tree is looking the best I've ever seen it!

Looks a good healthy tree Dave I would put it down to the amount of rain we have had this year, O and the lack of squirrels

it's a beautiful tree, I love the idea of having a memorial like that of a loved one, he'll be in your mind every time you look at it

Never seen a red hawthorn we have a white one as a hedge and thats in flower..nice tree Dave, the spines hurt like hell though when you trin them.
