How do I access an SD card on the eee?
I can see the icon on the taskbar but not in filemanager, I get the option of what to do when it's inserted but get stuck if I then close down the filemanager and want to go back to it.
searched the 'wiki' but not sure which command I need...

Hi Smudger. With a little luck and a fair wind it should be possible without using code. Try this...Work > File Manager > Open the left hand pane " All Folders " The view should be very much like Windows Explorer - anyway near the top of the list you should see the entry " MMC_SD " you should be able to expand this and then open or just click on it - and hopefully you will be where you want to be ( He says punching a little above his weight because he hasn't yet got one )

Thanks for that.... got it sorted, it shows up every time now.
Done a re-format to ext2, as I want to install things like 'gimpshop' to it. Any idea on how to get synaptic to download direct to the SD card?

Smudger. What you want to do may well be possible but the " how " part is a little beyond me Having said that I reckon you can drag and drop any newly downloaded folders to the sd card and then modify the program filepath accordingly so that the shortcut knows where it's pointing ! Like I said though " Bit beyond me and what little I know " Someone on the Xandros forum or eeeuser could perhaps point you in the right direction
