Ok then fellas, today I got my leg over for the first time in six months. (No, over my bike you rascals) To say it was nervy would be an understatement. In fact, even climbing on the thing felt scary, I wasn't sure if it was my balance that was out of wack, or just my nerves being shredded. But whichever it was, there is only one way to put it right........so off I went. Carefully, very carefully. It didn't take me long to discover, that it wasn't only my shoulder that had been damaged in the accident, there was deffo summat wrong with the gears. Anyway, I carried on to Morissons, picked a few bits up and set off home. My way home passes the bike shop where I bought it from, so I called in and asked them to take a look. The mechanic confirmed that the derailleur arm was bent, causing the selector to malfunction. I left the bike with them to fix, then called back and picked it up an hour or so later (Shag gave me a lift) Anyway, I've done 4 miles today, and my arm is aching a bit from the jarring, I'll step the miles up as and when. Good to back on two wheels though, very good.

All the best Thanks Sime, I absolutely aim to ease my way back. To be fair, I should have been a bit more sensible before, the problem is, I'm still a young buck in me head, me body tells a different story. Being sensible has never been my strong suit, but I'm trying to change that, trying very hard!

If you lubricate your bike using KY Jelly, it turns your bike into a two wheeled sex machine

If you lubricate your bike using KY Jelly, it turns your bike into a two wheeled sex machine And you keep sliding off the saddle with ugly stains in your nether region's clothes.
