Don't think I have the time (or a spare laptop) to try Linux, but here's another on for you Dave. 7 Ubuntu file manager features you may not have noticed. The Nautilus file manager included with Ubuntu includes some useful features you may not notice unless you go looking for them. You can create saved searches, mount remote file systems, use tabs in your file manager, and more. Ubuntu’s file manager also includes built-in support for sharing folders on your local network – the Sharing Options dialog creates and configures network shares compatible with both Linux and Windows machines. Thanks Bob, but I don't use my Ubuntu machine much for storing files and stuff. In fact I have very few piccies, vids or music files stored on it.
Nope...I mainly use it for t'internet browsing etc when I'm on the move, 'cos to be honest, I find the Windows applications more user friendly.
BTW.....yesterday there was a whole bunch of updates for Ubuntu (Lucid Lynx) which included a new version of Firefox for Ubuntu.
All can be downloaded and installed from 'Update Manager'

I presume you know a lot about Linux, Dave, but you never know, it might help someone else.
