Well, the predicted hammering for (improved) new labour has surpassed all expectations.Brown and Bliars policy of trying to fool all of the people all of the time has finally gone tits up! Christ almighty...even the taffs are booting them out, who'd have thought that could happen! A short time ago I heard Brown on the radio say that they would listen and learn! Yea right, that's akin to Stevie Wonder promising to "keep an eye on things!" Never before have I heard so many 'dyed in the wool' labour voters say "that's it,never again". In spite of my delight at the election result,I can't help but feel uneasy at the prospect of Cameron getting in.Apart from having a jocko sounding name (bad enough) he disturbingly reminds me of Bliar circa 1996 with all of those promises and the 'easy' smile! Looks too as if barmy Boris has had dodgy Ken's pants down! Brill...even if he screws everything up at least we will all have a good chuckle! He'll do for me if he puts a smile on my chops!

Ha the damage is already done he should have listened and learned ages ago too little too late, cannot wait till the main elections to get rid of the Virus that is eating this country. he could make a good start by cutting the tax on fuel by half, which would bring down the price of food in the shops which has rocketed in line with the increase in fuel prices Having read the response to the on line petition though, it isn't going to happen www.pm.gov.uk/output/Page15412.asp

In spite of my delight at the election result,I can't help but feel uneasy at the prospect of Cameron getting in.] I wouldn't worry too much its the usual protest vote and happens regularly, they will come out of the current mess smelling of roses and all the protest votes will turn back to Labour votes and they will get in again. I am old enough to remember when the Maggie and here crew were running the country, the interest rate was something like 15 percent, if you think its bad now can you imagine what it was like then?

"todays problems will be a distant memory and they will get in again." Only if millions suffer from amnesia and lose their sight! "I am old enough to remember when the Maggie and here crew were running the country, the interest rate was something like 15 percent," I think I may be older than you Max and I don't remember the electorate ever voting Maggie out!!!

I think that the high interest rates were when Maggie took over from a labour government which had bankrupted the country. She had her faults, but under her this country was put on an even keel, and Tony Blairs government inherited a very sound economy, and have wasted the great part of it
