That is a bit unfair,Phil.England is a country of 50 million plus-and the "home of football"-,whilst we have only less than 2 million to pick a team from. That said, most non- english people in the UK support England in a World Cup campaign,in the same way as we support our favourite Premier League team.

To be fair, I don't for one minute doubt that your lot support an English premiership team, probably one of the big 4/5. However, as you're certainly aware, most of the players in those teams ain't English, or even British come to that. But eh... you already knew that of course! But as for "most non- english people in the UK support England in a World Cup campaign" you can pull the other one. Scotland is (at the moment anyway) still in the UK, and even my Jocko pals who have lived down here for yonks, don't support England at world cup time, they don't even pretend that they do! Not sure about the Taffs, possibly in the North, but them lot in the valleys, not a chance!

Anyway, I can randomly disclose that as I sit up here in my office, the aroma from my kitchen of wabbit and wood pigeon, bubbling away downstairs in my slow cooker, is driving me mad!

I know the old 'enemy' over the wall aren't to keen I would like nothing better than to see all the 'home' countries in all major tournaments. I would think at the best England could get to the quarter final next year but hey you never know, who would have backed Greece to win the Euros a few years back. By the way Peter, which Premier League team do you support

My team are "resting" in another division atm,but are an erstwhile premier league team.In the fifties and early sixties they roared superlatively.I supported them as the team colours were the same as my school

I was at Molineaux when the crowd sang "Derek Dougan,Super Star" ( a la musical) when he scored an equaliser.
