Another epic fail. Nob, read it again. Nearly all of that article is quoting what other people said or thought, not what the great lady herself actually did.

Anyway, It's that time of the year again for me............ Yep, it's when I get lots of mail telling me that xyz is coming to an end, but don't you worry your handsome old head Mr Rats, it will automatically renew and btw here's your new charges for the next twelve months. Yea right! So first up is my boiler breakdown cover with British Gas's Homecare. Ah bless, they only want to up the price by a measly 20% per year innit. I mean, who's gonna notice that? Me! So I'm toot sweet on the dog. The man kindly offers me another deal, it's only a few quid more than I'm paying now but the free boiler service is not included. I just snorted derisively down the phone at him. Then 'as a gesture of goodwill' (I kid you not).... he comes up with a figure about £7 cheaper than I paid last year. To be honest, I've got the hump with them now, they've left the offer on record but I'm minded to tell them to sod of and go somewhere else. The it's my energy supplier E-On's turn. Same thing, the deal comes to an end at the end of January and unbelievably, their gas and leccy unit prices have increased, and they want to increase my monthly direct debit. Yer boy is straight on to 'Confused .Com' Loads of cheaper offers, I've gone with Scottish Power (oh the shame) and saved myself £171 for the year. Never even listened to the fella from E-On, couldn't understand what the Geordie mope was saying anyway, just told him that I was off and switched the phone off. The game is the game, and every year, it has to be played!

Just done the same thing a month ago, First utility didn't send bills and are a complete set of useless prats, as seen on watchdog. Signed up to Robin Hood energy, sent the readings in awaiting the bill, It is supposed to be a none profit run thing by Nottingham council, only been set up a few month so anything can happen. You have to shop about or they think they can squeeze and you cant be arsed to swap.

I seriously considered the Robin Hood Energy one but the 'Robin' name sounded a bit too much like Robbing for my taste.

No exit fee unlike first utility which costs £30 a fuel. But they are that bad I had to pay it and save money in the long run. Well I should be paying it but anything can happen with those idiots.

Of course, what they fail to mention is that they pay their CEO a zillion quid a year and that's why they don't make a profit. It's a bit like some of those charity scams, what they don't tell yer is what counts.
