Mine's gone already. Went to get another from the receptionist's desk (£2) but all the enamelled ones are gone. Now demoted to a poppy stuck through the zipper on coat. As said G, a worthy cause. e&oe... I got my enameled one from the old vet in the foyer at Morrisons. There isn't a fixed price, " Just give what you can" he told me when I asked. As usual, I lost the fabric one that was pushed through my jacket buttonhole. I forget that my rucksack strap catches on it and pulls it out, then I'm left walking around without a visible Poppy and feeling guilty about it. Hopefully, I can hang on to this enameled one for the duration.

Just got my TT bill and tried to pay it online cos you get 10% off for an early payment. Site is down and they say they are taking the 10% of the bill and it will be taken by DD. Then the 10% discount stops in December 1st. Greedy and no incentive to pay early anymore.

TT hiked my monthly from £15 to £20 about six months ago. Phoned them to "complain" and basically got the old "far queue sir". P-O-S. Not the Pipex outfit I bought into. e&oe...

Joe where is your charm? I'm with TT I pay £10 month for unlimited broadband, You Tube box and wind back TV,. 6 Sky Sports channels and 24/7 free landline calls. I've just signed up for £5 a month free telephone calls to mobiles but have never been billed for them yet. £15 a month in my case seems damn good value for money. Joe what exactly are you doing wrong?

He must get free line rental thrown in as well. nob I pay my line rental with a one off annual payment £180.56 therefore I, probably mistakenly, don't add it to my monthly TalkTalk D/D payment which was £10 for all the services I listed earlier.

In other words, old Smudger pays TT £25pm. for his services. Pssst...he's Oirish y'know.

Talking about breaking money down into monthly payments, I bumped into an old acquaintance t'other day out with his dog. A rotte, smashing dog and squirrel snatching mad. Anyroads he were saying his dog's had to have major surgery on its knee joint, some fancy name or other. He's insured but has to pay a fifth which came to about 70squid a month, bill were summat around 5K 'Christ Dave that's some bill.'... ' yeah! but I break it down and its around £2.50 a day, not even a pint o' lager.

With the mobile £5 he's paying over £30 a month. £15.04 line rental, BB £10, Mobiles £5 OK nob so what if it turns out at £30 a month for all national landline phone calls, All landline to mobiles calls, The basic Sky TV package and all the Sky Sports Channels. Add to that Unlimited BroadBand. I have the free mobile calls on an ongoing monthly contract and can cancel it at any time without penalty so after the 1st month I'll work out if it is worth keeping. Don't forget the Sports Channels alone cost over £28 a month if bought from Sky.

Tell you what, that mobile at £5 a month you will ditch.

Amazes me that anyone uses a landline for phone calls nowdays. I have free weekend calls and free calls to other Virgin users with my monthly package. This month, like last month and every other month, calls made on it are zero. Well, they would be, as I ain't even got a handset plugged into the socket and no-one has my landline number anyway. The last time I checked, the only way I could do it cheaper, was for me to leave Virgin, then rejoin and get the first year at a discount. After that, it's back up to full wack.

I make most calls using the mobile, I get free minutes etc for topping up £10 each month on PAYG. To do more secure calls to pay stuff with the card I use the landline.
