Don't they need heat, you see those houses and they have lights, fans and heaters. Maybe that's to force them.

A week on Monday its 5p for a carrier bag in the shops. nob we've been paying that form April 2013 over here and nob it works. Stray rubbish plastic bags are few and far between and shoppers soon learn to take a bag. not necessarily of the 5p supermarket type, when they go shopping.

Yep but clothes shops are going to charge as well, do they charge over there Peter. Green points are stopping at Tesco when it starts as well.

Yep. £0.05 for a carrier bag and discount on your car parking fee if you produce a car parking ticket. Weird.

I don't have a problem with charging for those bags, they are a sodding blot on the landscape. Sick of seeing them stuck in the hedgerows and flapping about in tree tops. They just have to be a danger to hedgehogs and other small night critturs.

Nope.Still free, and are good for re-use.Most of us have a few "bags for life"gathered in the back of the car too. Fresh fish purchase also qualifies for a free bag.Not that I should know as my Flower does all the shopping !
