My lad had his new computer delivered here today, he asked me to fire it up and make sure it worked. The mains lead was inside so you have to take the case side off. It was supposed to come with a 1TB HDD and 60Gb SSD. I noticed one drive.  Did a bit of research and found out about Hybrid drives.  Its got one of those, I know what my next drive will be, it boots up in seconds. |

I've only fired it up Once, so I don't know, what I read is that the firmware adds the most used software to the SSD part, windows being one, Games etc so they open quickly. Anyway, I was in town today in the Highcross shopping centre where I'd gone to buy some new shirts. As I was leaving the centre, I realised that there was a large crowd of folk standing outside. Then I heard the music, outside and in front of the vacant next door shop was a band, it was one of those old skiffle type outfits.  They were very good, in fact they were better than very good, they were outstanding. However, they obviously didn't please everyone, 'cos apparently, the manager/security guy of the Highcross had complained to the police, two of those female plastics had rocked up and told the band to 'move on' Pffft, the skiffle guys were having none of it, they told the plastics to sod off and encouraged the crowd to hiss and boo. Then they played some song which was obviously a piss take of authority. But here's a thing, this band could easily have been Jezza Corbyns fan club band, proper lefty types. They were telling the folks not to pay the council tax 'cos it was spent on cluster bombs, all of the usual lefty bollox. Mind you, they were copping a few sovs for their music 'cos like I sez....excellent musicians. Yer plastics and the Highcross fella got into a huddle, then the burds got on their talking brooches.  Hmmmm, there can only be one winner here thinks I. From past experiences I know that yer rozzers don't much like having the urine extracted, 'specially in front of a crowd.  Sure enough, a couple of minutes later the heavy mob rocked up, this perhaps ain't gonna end well thinks I. .... Unfortunately I had a bus to catch, 'cos that worse than useless android weather app had sworn to me that it was gonna lag it down, that's why I wasn't on two wheels. Yep, I would have liked to have tarried a little longer to see what happened. Terrific band tho'..........crap lyrics.  |
