Please don't laugh but I use Facebook as it is a way of seeing photos of family who are scattered around the world. I have managed to lose all the photos on the left hand side of the page, including my own. I deleted a file that offended me (atleast a word in the file did) and in doing that have lost all the photos which precede profiles. Can anyone help please.

Which 'Page' have you lost them on? is it the home page?

I've had a look Norma, and can't figure out how to get the photo link back on the left side of the page, but you should still be able to view the photos by going to an individual friends profile page, and clicking on 'photos' in the top line there
Why should we laugh? I am an avid facebooker, as are nearly all my family, we have nightly reunions and are talking to each other all the time, scattered though we are, it's brilliant

Anne I can see others' photos and like you I use it to see family photographs from Australia, USA and various EU countries. It is on the main page and I can't even see my own photo!!!! No Kabith we are not too old. Indeed it was the younger generation who asked me to join, ie an 18 year old great neice, so there!!!!

I noticed apart from the link on the left hand side, I have one along the bottom as well, maybe you have the same?
I can't figure out what you did to delete the application, I've tried and there doesn't seem to be that option, I'll keep looking tho,
you haven't by any chance Adblocked it?

Norma, You haven't hidden them hence stopping the feed. Is there an "options" option at the bottom on the same line as old posts.
If so click it and your contacts will show then you click add to feed.

Helpful people, I have clicked on every damned thing possible to see how to reverse the problem but all to no avail. I can't send a picture of the page as I don't know how to I have gone into the help section and although other folk have asked the same question as me I cannot find the answers. The photos that are missing are the profile ones that go beside your name on the left hand side of the screen. I can see folks photos in albums no problem. Nob, I can't find an options option . Thank you to Anne and Kabith, and you Nob. The arrogance of Facebook is that they cannot be contacted direct about this. I have even tried to put up a new profile photo of me, but no luck!!! Norma, who is feeling a bit thick.

Try this Norma, go to settings, application settings, scroll to the photos application and click on edit, then look to see what is under profile. On mine it says: Box: added (remove) Privacy: only friends
see if yours is any different

Its got nothing to do with privacy. Box, maybe.
