Phil we might contribute a lot of dosh but that is not a net figure because we get EU contributions that reduce the size of our subscription so that is why it does not work out over all at £50 million a day. Here is a sort of detailed cost analysis of what being in the EU is costing us and why he wants out. Checking his figures leaves our cost a long long way short of £50 million a day, www.ashleymote.co.uk/?p=3314The link gives very good reasons for getting us OUT!

Arch why is he on my chum's list? Read my last post again. I said the writer wanted out of Europe and I only used his article to point out to Phil that the net cost of EU membership to Britain was not £50 million a day.

Tbh the only reason for us keeping in the EU is 'Jobs and perks for the ex Westminster boys and girls'. This is an MP's route to the EU gravy train....to become an MEP and all the golden benefits, perks and pensions that go with it(see the Kinnock family for an example).

Tbh i can 'nt understand why we should let large numbers of foreign students into the country in the first place That's interesting. That's a question that needs answering! I can understand the Universities being all for it as it's loads of dosh for them one way or the other. Maybe that's the reason.

A couple of months ago I spoke to the barmaid at the pub about it, she's a student (lovely lass) at Leicester Uni. I mentioned all of the Tiddly students that were there....she said the fees for them per term were enormous and the Tiddly government paid the lot! Nearly all girls too...not sure what courses they are all doing but I suspect it may be medical science. I'll try to find out!
