I now have Mint running on my laptop, and I have to say that I'm very impressed. It's quick, easy to use (even for a numpty like me), and best of all free.
Installing additional software is as easy as in XP (one click), once you know the 'freesource' equivalent of what you had from MS etc...

Glad you like it There are still a few problems with Linux, but by and large........ the mainstream distros seem to be going from strength to strength

3.34am......... WTF are you doing on a computer at that time on a sunday morning? That time is reserved for sleeping, sea fishing, or lamping for rabbits! Seem to remember there used to be one other thing, but can't recall what it was

Insomnia and some new graphics software that I was playing with Carrara 5 Pro.....Free with Computer Shopper ( worth about £250. )
