Important - SFC error

Due to some bizarre reason, when I tried a routine SFC check, it reported corrupt files. This isn't unique to me, and has to do with Windows Defender files.

Apparently, it is due to August updates (which I wasn't around for)?


As a result, now I have had to post a query which dc3 is currently helping with

Well, I spent a weekend worrying about that trying all sorts.

In the end, all I could do was do an in-place Windows Repair Upgrade (on dc3's advice), which took about three hours in all this morning. It did the trick though, as SFC reported no problems.

Such fun !
