Hi Gang
Using Microsoft Word on my Linx 8" tablet seems to be a problem.
When I got it a couple of years ago Word was supposed to be FREE for anything ubder 10" but Microsoft 365 kept popin up and stopped me editing Word unless I paid. Well I thought my friendly PC shop had sorted it, well nearly, but then it would pop up again with the same wording, but vanish again witin a couple of days, which wasn't a problem as it didn't stop me editing things.only waiting 2 days.
But now for the last 6 weeks it's back again demanding I pay otherwise I can't edit what I have on it.
So do any of you know how to solve the problem, other than by an Android 8" Tablet which I'm told doesn't have this problem.
Thanks jal

Thanks for the replies.
I have put Apache on the Linx and transfered a copy of the Word files to it, but when you want to look through the list for things it doesn't allow you to use your finger to do it, moving it with your finger it just makes the page go blue. Any ideas how you can use your finger to move around the files
Thanks

Thanks The page doing blue I don't know its as if your selecting all the text, I don't have a clue with Linux but I found this, Dave or Steve are probably your best bet. www.wikihow.com/Install-Microsoft-Office-2007-on-Linux

Hi Everybody
Thanks for all your ideas but I’ve got the problem solved. I had an adaptor which would fit the tablet, so copied Microsoft Word onto a Flash Drive from my MS Office 2007 Disk,
Then transfered it from the Flash Drive to the tablet by the adaptor. And it’s now working OK again.
Thanks Everyone for your suggestions

Good, glad to hear you sorted it. Let us know if you have any more problems.
By the way, I've used that Apache and it's not that good. It's not even supported very much, whereas Libre is supported more (I haven't used any others though).
