Yes, I do. It's a case of speeding up the wifi or rather making it swifter.

I doubt that will speed it up but it should extend the range.

Well today I bought one and have set it up. It is now in bedroom, a room that the wifi reception is quite poor, in that my ipod and galaxy before, had to be turned round to engage with signal and pages were slower to load. With this in place now, everything is fine.

Ive got 1 TP-Link in front room, 2 in Son's room for XBox one and PC, pig to get running, but once up great. Are you using the old Cat5e cables, I'm using Cat6a, which if I'm not correct incorporates the 5ghz connection. The only problem I had was his XBox one was getting the stop loss thing in multi-player so checked the settings within my router (Virginmedia) and went to advance, and found some time ago changed it to 300mbs for best performance, so changed it back to 144mbs for best compatibility, totally fixed that problem, no complaints from him now. Hi even though I replied to this thread before saying the posted link worked for me I never read the question completely.
I've been using my electrical circuit to join my PC/Router to my TV for almost 2 years, I've got a normal TalkTalk broadband connection, averages out at about 8 mbps. I need the link to the TV to be able to watch "internet" connected programs on my TV and not on my smaller PC monitor. Over the time I've used them I've had no problems at all with them.
The ones I use, supplied by TalkTalk, are D-Link

The first link did not work, but the rest did, but I had to enable on this page within Adblocker within Cyberfox, which is a 64 bit version of Firefox. They do quite a few differences on this type of wireless capable plugs, whether it is d-link or tp-link. The point was the better range, that would be from another PC or Tablet downloading the software that one person suggested and using either wireless PC or Tablet to run the software ( not the PC wired to Router) asnd find where the wireless is strongest within the 2.4ghz or 5Ghz connection. Some routers use the auto find mode, but that may not be at its strongest, but it could be good enough. The software will find and probable contridict what router has set as default, and you could manual set it yourself to an even stronger channel. In 2.4 Ghz, it will be from 1-12 channel, on 5Ghz its in totally double all the way through, maybe 12-40 or something like that. But when you do find the right channel, you will get a better wifi network. As for the TV, up to 3 years ago I had my rig attached to TV via DVI to HDMI cable and duplicated what the monitor sees. So I would fix photo's or play with Crazytalk animator via my wireless Tablet or just wireless keyboard & mouse. Kings3

I needed to use the domestic wiring system since my computer and TV are in different rooms and I wouldn't want a guest tripping over a cable and suing me. Shows you the sort of friends my wife has.

Last 24 hrs been a nightmare kept PC off because of water getting in the light on the ceiling. Those boxes are pretty good I hear, a valuable thing to have if you are in a flat and have sky/talk talk and no have no multiroom as such. I simply do not like the phone line concept, if your phone is down so is the internet and buying movies. When I had Sky 10 years ago and with hindsight, I would of stuck with Sky and bought some of those boxes for the bedrooms and problem solved. Kings3
