Better get the builders in and extend the snug...  So other than here of course,where does everyone else go...  I just hope they don't get themselves banned so they can get the "I've been banned" badge. Or Dave will be busy. |

In a way, of course, it's a shame to close that forum down as it has always been a good source of help and info. In fact many years ago it was Nob who first helped me through a particular problem over there, so . . mixed feelings about the closure. Like on all forums, except this one of course, they had their fair share of pillocks, but also some extremely helpful, friendly and clever people. Hopefully we'll get an influx of the latter. |

Evening all,,, seems there's a storm brewing,,, i didn't bother waiting over there for the curtain to fall so i jumped in a taxi.
apparently there's ban orders being thrown around like dwarf's at an Aussie piss up.

I am extremely sorry to see C/A forums close, even though I haven't used them since the Squatters opened. Practically everything I have learned about computing was through the magazine and the forums

Hmmmm, well I get no particular pleasure in seeing them close. Like Anne, I also learned most of my basic computing from folks on those forums, in particular from Nob. Nope, my problem was the prats moderating the place, who appeared not to know the difference between the pillocks trolling the place, and the people who retaliated. In fact, they banned people who had reached their snapping point, and then allowed the trolls to carry on trolling!  No, some nice people used those forums, fortunately some of them came here. But, having not used that place since I left, I don't know most of the folks now arriving at the Squatters. However, I'm sure we will all rub along nicely, once they have all bought me a drink of course! |
