I wouldn't back Scotland to win even if they were playing our local rugby club.

I wouldn't back Scotland to win even if they were playing our local rugby club. Well if they can't beat England at Murrayfield, then they must be crap. Jazus....if they give 100% against anyone, they give it against us. Just the spite and bitterness that they hold against us/me is normally worth a ten points start to them.

Anyway, 2 hours to kick off and this is about the first time in living memory, that an England rugby team has taken the field without a single Tigers player in the starting fifteen! So, I shall now offer my expert assessment of the current England team. Full Back....Mike Brown. Top class, does everything well. Wing....Jack Nowell. Jury still out. Haven't seen him play enough. Out centre....Luther Burrell. Big, strong, looking good. Ins. centre....Billy Twelvetrees. Learned to play at Tigers, known as '36'. Looked better in a Tigers shirt. Wing....Johnny May. Reminds me of me. Obviously an outstanding prospect. Fly Half....Owen Farrell. Average at best. Absolutely useless at worst. Scrummie....Danny Care. Moments of brilliance, need to see a few more of them. Prop....Joe Marler. Good around the park, can't scrummage. Hooker....Dylan Hartley. Good player, prone to loss of discipline though. Prop....Dave Wilson. Dunno, hardly seen him play. Lock....Joe Launchbury. Very good player. Lock....Courtney Lawes. Pick of the bunch.Good man to have on your side in a scrap. Blindside....Tom Wood. Good ball carrier. Works hard. No8.....Billy Vunipola. A wrecking ball. Good young player. Openside....Chris Robshaw (Capt)....Leads by example, never stops grafting.

Me jocklets just scraped a win over Italy. Gone are the days when you could count on a cricket score when playing Italy.

Phew....just made it. 16-13 to England. Bad luck Oirland, never gave up and made for a great match. It could have gone either way tbh! Even if I say so myself, (and I do) my assessment of the England players was pretty damned accurate. MOTM was Mike Brown, top class performance and did everything well. Mega pleased with the balls that my boys showed, even the 'not so good' players had a bit of 'dog' about them. Yup.........well happy!

England 13-Ireland 10 A great match, and a good advertisement for 6 nations entertainment. I expected a wider score gap 'tween the sides as it was a home fixture for England. Now you have to welcome Craig's boys to H/Q in 2 weeks time. This will be grudge match after what happened in Cardiff last year

Ahem....Smudger and Pete, you know that I'm not one to kick a fella when he's down.................. However, just in case you needed reminding, both the England fellas and the England lassies have had your lot over yesterday at Twickers, just to add to your woes, this afternoon my Tigers have rocked up at the Madejski Stadium and spanked your Exiles too! Never mind eh boyos, somedays your the windscreen other days your the bug innit? Three none, to the Ingerland, three none to the Ingerland

For the record England just about deserved to win and like Pierre says with home advantage England should have made it a lot harder for Ireland rather than finishing only 3 points ahead but still a win is a win and it was as great game.
