Hi Max & David
Eusing sorts out all the stuff you don't need but Auslogics is a Defrag for the Registry to put things back in their correct places in the registry and to make more room as far as I understand

Eusing Free Registry Cleaner is a free registry repair software that allows you to safely clean and repair registry problems with a few simple mouse clicks. The Windows Registry is a crucial part of your PC's operation system.
Problems with the Windows Registry are a common cause of Windows crashes and error messages. Registry problems can occur for many reasons, including references left behind after uninstallation; incorrect removal of software; missing or corrupt hardware drivers; or orphaned start-up programs. This will significantly increase the Registry size and slow down your computer, because Windows will need more time to load, search, and read data from the Registry.
Eusing Free Registry Cleaner will scans your Windows registry for invalid or obsolete information and provide a list of the errors found. After fixing the invalid entries, your system will be more stable and run faster. For maximum safety, Eusing Free Registry Cleaner will make a backup of the repaired entries. You will be able to restore any changes made using the software by choosing Restore registry backup. Eusing Software products are free of spyware and adware.

Hi Max & David Auslogics is a Defrag for the Registry to put things back in their correct places in the registry and to make more room as far as I understand jal Just downloaded it on my vista laptop which i haven't owned long and its reporting it can make the PC 18% faster,i haven't run it as it needs to reboot and its getting late. I will put it on my XP PC tomorrow I'm sure it will be in a mess as Ive owned it for a number of years and have never defraged the registry.

the optimizer tool NTREGOPT that comes with ERUNT does a decent job tidying up the registry

Jal. Rather than removing unwanted or broken entries from the registry like CCleaner for example a Registry Defragger makes the registry more compact by removing empty spaces - So it is perhaps a good idea to run both types of tool once in a while. ( the cleaner more often than the defragger )

Hi Ade
Thanks Other than wanting to know if it was safe to use. I just wondered if they did different jobs which as you and Ade also said that they do.

Jal. I have had this tool for over a year now.It does the job of defragging in about 10% of the time it takes the Windows defrag.
