Do they do a cider? I've brewed ale and wine. ? Nob you're more likely to buy a cider kit in a specialist shop. I've never seen one in a supermarket, and there's precious few of those who do any form of home brew nowadays. Where I live Tesco Asda Salisbury's all sold kits but now Morrison's is the only one left who do. Similarly there used to be at least half a dozen specialist shops and now there's only one left. Sign of the times..... Joe.

Yep Joe sign of the times, there was a good stall on Doncaster market, I may give that a look next time I'm in there to see if it's still there.
Theres a good homebrew shop in Scunny also so I'll have a shufty Saturday when I'm there.

Nob cripple cock is weak compared to some of the rocket fuel you get from the farms. If you are ever in Cornwall try some of thee stuff that is brewed from Vincents farm near Lanreath. Rocket fuel
PS Do not drive after!

You can make what is known as 'Turbo Cider' using cheap supermarket's own apple juice and some cider or 'champagne' yeast. some people even add some tea to the brew to add some tannin.

Natural cider is left in open vats to ferment. It is fermented from wild yeasts in the atmosphere which is why I gave up trying to brew cider from kits.
